Reverend Alan Chambers ethos for his ministry endeavors is rooted in Psalm 142:7 "Bring my soul out of prison that I may praise Your name ... " This verse has a literal application to Reverend Chambers journey. 

He attended and graduated from Bible college and became the Associate Pastor of a new church plant in Butler, Pennsylvania. After serving there four years he was invited to join Prison Fellowship Ministries. Charles Colson, president of Prison Fellowship USA. Colson said that Rev. Chambers' promotion makes him one of the highest placed black ex-offenders in American business. 

An eloquent preacher, teacher and lecturer, Reverend Alan Chambers has appeared before numerous forums both in the U.S. and overseas. Some of his notable engagements are keynote speaker at the Universities of Michigan, Maryland, Southern California, Wheaton and Liberty. He has also preached at the First Baptist Church of Glenarden annual prayer breakfast, Fisherwick Presbyterians church in Northern Ireland and the famed Riverside church in New York City. He has addressed attendees at the National Prayer breakfast, the Whitehouse fellows and the Congressional Youth Brain Trust. He has spoken at international symposiums in Costa Rica, Kenya, Liberia and Zimbabwe. He has twice appeared on ABC News Nighline and been featured in Jet and Ebony magazines "On the Move" section. 

Most importantly, he is the husband of your new pastor Reverend Deborah J. Chambers for over 21 years. 

Rev. Alan and Pastor Chambers have one adult son, Alan Perry. They also have two adult daughters, Kim and Denise. Alan enjoys listening to classical music and jazz, foreign travel, studying history and watching westerns and James Bond movies.
