Thanksgiving Food Drive:
Little Hands, Big Hearts

Dear CCBC parents and youth,

As we approach the end of the year, we have a wonderful opportunity for our children and young people to give, serve, and share their gifts. We would love your help in making both a blessing!

Thanksgiving Food Drive: Little Hands, Big Hearts

Our NextGen Ministry is joining the Thanksgiving Food Drive to support CCBC’s monthly community food distribution. We are asking each child to donate at least one nonperishable food item by Sunday, November 15.  Suggested items include canned goods, boxed meals, pasta, and rice. The donations will support our community food giveaway on Saturday, November 21.

We also plan to invite the children to bring their donations forward during Sunday worship so we can pray over the food and the families who will receive it. This is a beautiful way to help our children learn to shine their lights and share God’s love with others!

GBG youth: We would love for you to join us on MOVE Saturdays to help with the food distributions. It’s a great way to serve our community and be active in the life of our church.

Ways to Encourage Giving at Home

  • Shop together: Let your child choose an item for the food drive.

  • Pray together: Pray for the families who will receive the donations.

  • Count your blessings: Invite everyone to share something they are thankful for.

  • Read together: Share the story of the boy who offered his loaves and fish in John 6:1–13 and talk about how even a small gift can make a difference.

“God loves a cheerful giver.” — 2 Corinthians 9:7
