Core Values of those who are
UNITED IN CHRIST
Romans 12:4-5 For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.
Core Value #1
God Matters First
Matthew 26:37-38 “Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.”
We will keep the love of God as the first priority of our heart, soul and mind. This love will be our motivation to continuously cultivate a vibrant relationship with Him as our greatest love.
Core Value #2
People Matter Too
Matthew 22: 39-40 “And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
We will view our relationships with others as an opportunity to demonstrate and reveal the unfailing love of God because people matter too.
Core Value #3
Change the World
Matthew 28: 19-20 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
We will strive to change the world through the ministry of reconciliation and discipleship. Collectively, we will embrace this call as the driving force and purpose for which we do everything.
Core Value #4
Exceed Expectations
Ephesians 3:20 “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us…”
We will serve in a manner that exceeds expectations just as the God we serve exceeds expectations. Our individual and collective excellence will cause all who engage with us to experience the abundance of God that is revealed whenever expectations are exceeded.
Core Value #5
Do Hard Things
Luke 14:27 “And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple.”
We are uniquely called and sanctified to pick up our cross, deny ourselves and daily surrender to do the hard things for the cause of Christ.
Prepare to Turn the Page
Psalm 145:4 “One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts.”
We will work to train and prepare the next generation of leaders so that they are able to turn the page and write the next chapter for the glory and honor of God at CCBC.
